Marathon du Mont Blanc

Every summer one of the world’s toughest and respected mountain marathons takes centre stage in Chamonix. With 4 events the vertical km, 10km, 25km and full marathon it attracts not only a European but an International crowd competing to push their limits in this spectacular landscape.

Impossible angles, impressive pitches and talent from across the globe, that pretty much encompasses the worlds free climbing champs. The first of the summer events that really signal the start of the season.
Cosmo Jazz Festival Chamonix

Blues and Jazz with attitude at altitude. Music from near and far played in the most spectacular locations around the valley afternoon and evening for a week. You can’t help but be drawn into the festival even if strolling through town to run some errands. Inevitably you’ll be dancing in the street with the rest of the population and more likely with a cool glass of something in your hand.
La Fête des Guides
Established in 1821, the Chamonix Guides’ Company is the oldest and largest guides’ association in the world. Founded in 1921, the "Fête des Guides" has become an unmissable event in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.
Ultra Trail Du Mont-Blanc - UTMB
Monday 28 August 2017 to Sunday 03 September 2017
Following the stunning but demanding Mont Blanc Tour trail the North Face Ultra is the world’s toughest Ultra marathon. Over 2000 participants from over 35 countries come to pit their talent, fitness and motivation again the formidable course. The atmosphere generated in town for the week is electric and vibrant. Certainly our favourite event of the summer.
