Ski Lessons & Guiding
Thanks for arranging a day on the Vallee Blanche, it was one of the best days skiing I have had.
Gavin
Thanks for fixing us up with such a great guide - two Everests under his belt but charming and careful with us. I am sure I will be back.

Ice and Orange will take the hassle out of arranging ski lessons. All you have to do is contact us with your requirements and we will take care of the rest!
From experience we always recommend you opt for a private lesson, as opposed to group lessons. The increased one on one attention will ensure you make great strides in your skiing in a shorter period of time and it gives you complete flexibility in your lesson location (as opposed to ski school, which is usually fixed in one place for the week).
For private lessons, we have a longstanding relationship with ‘Thierry’, a highly professional local private ski instructor, with the most charismatic approach to skiing instruction we have come across. As many of our previous guests know, he has an effective unique and creative way of instructing which will guarantee you have fun on the mountain at the same time!
If Thierry himself is not available, he heads up a pool of equally qualified English speaking local instructors, who as a consequence of being self employed can only afford to give nothings less than value for money!
Thierry and his team will pick you up from the chalet and drop you off after your lesson.
If you did want to book ski school, we recommend Evolution 2. This dynamic company employs all English speaking instructors.
Guiding is certainly recommended when you would like to explore the off piste parts of the Chamonix Valley, particularly the Valley Blanche for which the area is famous. A lot of the finest off piste skiing here is on glaciers, resulting in great snow conditions, but this does require due care. The professional guides we use offer a tailor made service, ranging from the classic Valley Blanche (including moonlight descents), to heli-skiing and ski-touring. They will ensure your safety on the mountain, whilst showing you the best places to go for fresh back country powder.
