Isobaric col 1022-1028 hpa over France between the russian high and a 1042 hpa cell west of Portugal. Extended flat low over Central Mediterranean, deepening overnight and on Monday. Fairly strong northeasterly stream north of the Alps, less over the massifs, linked to a very cold polar air mass moving southwards and reaching the Mediterranean. Persistent bitter cold condition likely until Tuesday, then gradually back to seasonal average within about ten days.
