Summer Chef & Maid (June - Sept 2008)

We're looking to employ a friendly, motivated, hard-working couple (or 2 friends) to help run our 9-bedroomed chalet in Chamonix this summer from the start of June to mid/end Sept 2007. Ideally a chef and maid/cleaner combination but at the very least one must have sufficient cooking skills. In return, we will provide you with a fully serviced one bed apartment off site and within walking distance from the chalet, food, and a competative weekly wage.

The scope of your duties will include:

• Cooking simple/hearty meals for up to 34 per night. (Pastas, casseroles etc)
• Preparation and cleaning away of food items for breakfast and evening meals each day.
• Shopping for food or other general requirements for the chalet and its guests.
• General Cleaning chores (e.g. hovering, making beds, washing up, dusting, cleaning toilets/bathrooms and floors, laying the table etc. )
• Laundry & ironing of necessary items in the chalet (linen, towels etc.)
• Ensuring the safety of guests.
• To ensure guests are well looked after.

Applicants must be available from early June to end Sept, have a valid EU passport or French/EU working visa, have a full, clean driving license for more than 3 years, be of a mature disposition, be physically fit with no recent major illnesses, and be a non smoker. Good people skills are also essential as you will be required to interact with clients on an ongoing basis.
